Ann Abromaitis brings an exceptional blend of elite athletic experience and medical expertise to everything she does — both on and off the court. A standout from an early age, she was named National High School Player of the Year while playing at Highlands Ranch High School. She went on to become a two-time NCAA Champion with the powerhouse program at the University of Connecticut, before playing professionally in the WNBA and representing Team USA, winning gold in the 3-on-3 World Championships.

After retiring from professional basketball, Ann continued to stay close to the game, serving as Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Colorado. Her leadership and experience at the highest levels of competition give her a unique perspective that she now shares with the next generation of athletes.

In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Coach Abromaitis has built an impressive career in medicine. She has worked as an Oncology/Hematology Nurse at Children’s Hospital Colorado and now serves as an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner at CU Sports Medicine, where she combines her love of sports with her passion for helping others heal and thrive.

Ann lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband and their three active kids. As a family, they love spending time outdoors — hiking, biking, running, and playing just about any sport together. Coach Abromaitis is passionate about building confidence, resilience, and joy in young athletes, and she brings the same energy and care to coaching that she does to her work in medicine and motherhood.
