SCOTT SHRAIBERG, FOUNDER & COACH
For Scott Shraiberg, founder of Fundamental Youth Sports, athletics has always been more than just a game — it’s been a foundation for character, teamwork, and leadership. A lifelong athlete and coach, Scott brings more than 15 years of coaching experience and a deep passion for helping young athletes grow on and off the field.
Scott was a two-sport athlete at Cherry Creek High School, where he earned all-league honors in football, won a state championship, and competed in baseball. He continued his athletic career at Whittier College in California, where he was a four-year starter in football, earned all-league honors, won two league championships, and even lettered in golf.
His coaching journey includes successful stints at top-tier high school football programs such as Cherry Creek, Bear Creek, and Kent Denver — earning multiple league titles at each. He also coached at the collegiate level as the defensive backs coach at Chapman University, helping lead the team to a league championship.
Beyond the high school and college ranks, Scott has coached numerous local youth teams, focusing on fundamentals, positive coaching, and personal growth — all core values of Fundamental Youth Sports.
Outside of coaching, Scott is the owner of Esprit Homes, a Colorado-based homebuilding company. He holds a BA from Whittier College and a master’s degree in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver.
Most importantly, Scott is a proud husband and father. He and his wife Autumn, a personal trainer from Santa Cruz, are raising two wonderful kids: Elvis, 8, a curious young scientist with a love for animals and insects, and Gracie, 5, a joyful spirit who finds fun in every moment. As a family, they love traveling, playing sports, exploring the outdoors, visiting zoos and museums, and spending quality time with loved ones.
